Track & Field

The International Student Athlete Track & Field Academy (ISATA) provides comprehensive year-round academic enrichment and athletic development which also features a USATF registered club that competes in three divisions: youth, open and masters. The youth team currently competes in the 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 age groups (We plan to add younger cohorts to the youth team in subsequent years), the open team serves athletes who are fourteen and over and the masters group begins at age twenty-five.  Athletes must meet a performance standard to qualify for the teams; student athletes in middle/high school and college must also maintain a 2.0 grade point average to compete.

 The ISATA competes at USATF association, regional and national championships as well as signature meets throughout the Northeast. The Gryphons have been named Outstanding Club of the Year by the Mid-Atlantic association four times in the past decade; winning both the men’s and women’s Mid-Atlantic Championship team titles on several occasions, last in 2023. The women’s team also won the East Region Championship in 2014 when the track and field academy originally debuted. Most recently the masters team recorded 17 performances ranked in the top fifteen of the world and earned 10 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze medals at the USATF National Championships for 2022-23.

Youth Sports Performance Training

This program offering was built to enhance a young athletes’ movement competencies, mobility, strength, and power capabilities through a carefully planned and periodized combination of 1) large group Speed and Power Training sessions 2) gym-based Semi-private (2-3 participants) Personal Training sessions to work on specific strength and mobility deficits.

Youth (11-18 yrs) Sport Performance Training Program consisting of the following:

    • Speed and Power Sessions 
    • Gym-based Semi-Private (2-3)
